Hi, we're Trey and Richelle
We're real people who love working with kids, and we started Bright Futures Learning to give local children the kind of patient, encouraging help that makes learning click.

Trey loves working with kids and believes every child can do well when learning feels fun instead of stressful. He keeps sessions upbeat and breaks tricky topics into small, clear steps, so kids leave feeling "I can do this".
He's the one you'll usually hear from about bookings, so feel free to call or text with any questions.

Richelle works with young children every day at a crèche, and it shows. She's warm, patient and great at helping kids feel safe enough to have a go, even when something feels hard.
She brings that same calm, caring approach to every session, so nervous learners relax and start to enjoy learning again.
We both love kids, and we really want to help the next generation. A child who's fallen behind can quickly start to believe they're "just not good at maths" or "bad at reading". We don't think that's true.
With the right support, explained in a way that makes sense to them, kids catch up, gain confidence and start to enjoy learning. That's what a bright future starts with, and it's why we chose the name.

2–3 children at a similar year level learning together. Siblings and friends welcome.
Bookings need at least 3 days' notice. Sessions are paid in advance by bank transfer or card. Please give 24 hours' notice if you need to reschedule. You're never charged for a session we cancel. Full terms are sent with the enrolment form.

How we keep kids safe
- A parent or carer stays in the library during the session
- Sessions only happen in rooms you can see into
- We only communicate with parents, never privately with children
- We follow a written child-safe policy, and you can ask to see it
- Your family's details are kept private and never shared or sold
Questions parents ask
FAQs
How do I know if my child needs tutoring?
Common signs are homework battles, low confidence ("I'm dumb at maths"), a disappointing report, or a teacher mentioning gaps. The free chat and quick check-in will tell you clearly whether tutoring would help, and we'll be honest if it wouldn't.
Is the first chat really free?
Yes. The 15–20 minute chat costs nothing and there's no obligation to book. If you decide to go ahead, we'll suggest a short check-in so we can build a plan that fits your child.
One-on-one or a small group: which is better?
One-on-one suits children who need focused help with specific gaps. Small groups (2–3 children at a similar year level) suit kids who enjoy learning alongside others, and they cost less per child. The session times above show which groups have a spot.
How far ahead do I need to book?
At least 3 days before the first session, including the free chat. It gives us time to plan properly for your child. Once you have a regular weekly time, it stays yours.
How long until we see progress?
Every child is different, so we won't promise a result. Most families notice more confidence within a few weeks, and the progress report every 4–6 weeks shows exactly what has improved.
Do I need to stay during the session?
Yes. A parent or nominated adult stays in the library (not in the room) during each session. It's part of our child-safe approach and a library requirement.
What happens in school holidays?
Let us know your plans. We'll hold your regular weekly spot, and holiday sessions are available on request.
What if we need to cancel?
Just give us 24 hours' notice and we'll reschedule or credit the session. If we ever have to cancel, you're never charged.
Do you give homework?
A little. Usually 10–20 minutes, aimed at exactly what your child is working on. We never overload primary students.
